Design agency Whitespace have commissioned Aberdeen-based illustrator Johanna Basford to help design this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme cover. What is she illustrating? Well, that’s for you to decide. People can submit their idea for the most unusual thing they’d like to see at the Fringe via Twitter (using the hash tag #fringecover) and Johanna will be illustrating them live on the 25th and 26th of March.
I’ve just watched her draw my suggestion of an astronaut riding the Udderbelly cow in outer space. Yay!
I’m loving this hand illustrated lettering by British illustrator and designer Sarah Gardner.
I am smitten with Fréya’s illustrations. Perhaps I will buy and frame some of her prints to serve as little reminders of thoughts I would like to live by.

Malika Favre of Airside created this titillating alphabet for the July issue of Wallpaper magazine. A limited edition of 50 glicee prints are available from the Airside shop. Such a tease.
I heart this print by Sooooound.

This post is, as the title would suggest, ode to the gig poster – in all its limited edition, screen printed glory.
Mogwai and Yourself & The Air posters by Delicious Design League, The National and Sonic Youth posters by Spike Press, Do Make Say Think and Club of the Sons posters by Scott Campbell, and White Stripes and Ra Ra Riot posters by Hammerpress.
