I can’t get enough of La Blogotheque’s Take Away Shows. Since the project’s beginning in 2006, La Blogotheque have notched up nearly 100 video podcasts featuring bands and artists playing their music in unexpected places. My favorites include Sigur Ros playing a rare acoustic performance of Vid Spilum Endalaust in a Parisian cafe, the sweet sound of Fleet Foxes’ Blue Ridge Mountains echoing from the glass ceiling of the Grand Palais, and Bon Iver’s off the cuff acapella rendition of For Emma in the stairwell of an apartment block.
I’m loving this music video for the Japanese trio Sour. The film, featuring the band’s fans, was created entirely via webcam. Enjoy!
